Happy 4th!

I hope everyone everyone has a wonderful long holiday weekend! While it's good to have a relaxing, fun weekend, it's also important to reflect on this day's meaning - our country's birthday. Watching the Reds today is a good example. The players are out there to provide some holiday entertainment while still taking the time out to honor the troops and be grateful for our country's independence.

I saw an article earlier today about some protestors at Monticello in Charlottesville, Va. (the home of Thomas Jefferson) when Bush was conducting the traditional naturalization ceremony. While many protesters made it hard for people to hear Bush (some called him a fascist), he said:

"We also honor Jefferson's legacy by welcoming newcomers to our land, and that is what we’re here to celebrate today."

My only question is this: Can't we put aside political feuds for one day and come together to celebrate our country's great history?

Hope everyones weekend is fantastic, and I'm sure I will post some fireworks pis!
